Hi, I'm Tierni. Throughout my many changes in life, the one thing that has remained constant is my love to see youth succeed due to the support, knowledge, and positivity that I can provide them with. Whether that is connecting people to the natural world through environmental education, or working with special needs children, I love to see the positive impact I have on others. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer, weightlifting, and hiking!
Experience
I have a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management from Unity College, where I also spent 3 years at the Learning Resource Center as a Writing Tutor for college-level students. I would provide academic support by assisting students in internship and scholarship essay applications, lab reports, technical writing, and creative writing. I also have 4 years of experience as a special education paraprofessional at the middle school level, as well as behavior technician training for students with ASD, and I am currently an in-person tutor for elementary to high school aged students. I specialize in English, Literacy, Reading, Composition, and the like.
